Plan Now to Attend the District 6040 Foundation Celebration!
Saturday evening, May 22nd, 2021, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. – via virtual platform only

Given the status and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to cancel the traditional Foundation Dinner for this year.

In its place, we will be hosting a virtual-only Foundation Celebration, which you can attend from the comfort and safety of your home from anywhere in the District.
  • At 6:30, join us for “6040 Connect!”
    • It’s been too long since District Rotarians have had the opportunity to get together face to face! As we anticipate the start of the Foundation Celebration program, we’ll utilize the Zoom “chat room” function to allow us to reconnect, laugh and catch up with friends old and new from across the District.

  • Then, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. we’ll dive into the evening’s festivities.
The Foundation Celebration will be a joyful evening, spotlighting the work of our clubs in our communities, our District, and around the world. We’ll celebrate the achievements of the prior Rotary year and highlight our grant projects, both in the District and globally.

Very importantly, we’ll use this opportunity to raise money for the Foundation – which facilitates the work of District and Global Grants, Rotary Scholarships and Group Study Exchange trips – all of which are funded by our contributions to the Annual Fund Share.
A silent auction is planned, along with a raffle, featuring outstanding prizes.
Our keynote speaker will be Brenda Cressey. Brenda has served in many key roles for Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation, including, in 2018-2019, serving as the first female Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair. She is a Past District Governor of District 5240 and is retired as the CEO of Office Support Systems, a Maine telecommunications firm. We are honored to have Brenda Cressey joining us for this special Foundation Celebration.

The Foundation Celebration Committee is hard at work, finalizing details for the evening. Please “stay tuned” for additional details as they come available. But for now, Save the Date!
