Help us raise another Million Dollars for End Polio Now!

We are extremely excited to extend a new “Pilot Program” for helping to raise money for Polio Plus to you and your club.

Over the last few years District 6760, 6780 and 6800 (Tennessee and Mississippi) partnered with Dunkin Donuts to give donuts away in exchange for Polio Plus donations. It has become a very successful campaign and is set to generate close to $1,000,000 in 2021.
Success of the program is driven by Rotarians who pre-order 10-count boxes of “Pinkies” for a $25 donation, generating $187.50 in donations per box! For more information and to place an order go to: https://www.purplepinkiedonuts.org/

National Day of Service
On the National Service Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary Club cleaned up both sides of 3rd Street from Winterset Park Blvd to Pryor Rd. Here at this sign we paused to remember all those who died September 11, 2001 and continue to die from this tragedy.

Hurricane Ida Relief
Rotarians are People of Action. Throughout the world in disaster recovery situations, our compassion and commitment to service are a significant part of relief efforts. Right here, right now, your help is needed here in our own zones.

Hurricane Ida has devastated communities in our Districts 6200, 6840 and 6820. Governors Bob Vaughn (6840) and Mark Lee (6200) have assembled recovery teams to identify needs and coordinate response across all affected areas in Zone 31.

Neighboring District 6190, through Governor Karen Johnson, has transported water for distribution in Louisiana. A group of Rotary members from Fairhope, AL, will prepare meals over 600 meals for three days.

Rotary at Work

The Smithville Rotary Club hosted a dedication Saturday, Aug. 28 of a “Welcome to Smithville” sign located on the north end of the city. The sign was placed on Smithville Community of Christ Church property at 19400 N. U.S. Highway 169. This is a project 20 years in the making. It is the companion piece to a similar sign on the south side of the city erected two decades ago.

Students Stopping Traffic Contest
The Rotary Clubs of Kansas and Missouri are thrilled to present the 1st annual Students Stopping Traffic contest.  This competition invites students to use their endless creativity to help end child trafficking in our communities.  Why is this competition so important?  Child trafficking is all too easy to ignore.  Too often, we believe it can only happen overseas, far away from our friends, family, and community.  That's a dangerous myth.
