Welcome Presidents,

July 1, 2019 is your first day on the job as your Club's President. Hopefully it was a great day that set the tone for the other 364 days to come.

We have talked about Checklists and things you needed to get done before July 1 up to now. It is time to change our focus and start talking about what you can do right now to be more effective. I sent you an email tonight. Please read it and the attachments ASAP.

1. Start working with your Membership committee to get your club a $1000.00.

2. Start working on the Horner/Gladhart Literacy Challenge. Pick a literacy champion in your club to work on the Challenge. As fun as a food fight but with more literate people at the other end.

3. You will be getting a video prepared by Kirby Asplund; our Communications and Public Image Chair to show to your club. It is a short video from me to help get this year off to a strong start. Please show it to your club the first meeting after you get it.

4. Steve Youngblood; our Peace and Conflict Resolution Chair is off school during the summer, so he is available to do a number of programs this summer. You can reach Steve at steve.youngblood@park.edu. Take advantage of this opportunity to get a great program for your club. Pass this on to the person in your club responsible for programs.

That is all for today!

Here is a photo from my Installation Ceremony last week. Past Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith installed me and then gave a fabulous speech on the important history of District 6040.
