We are pleased to advise that the first container arrived in Lusaka last night and we offloaded today. It was a sight to see the delight in Chelstone Zonal staff as the vast quantities of medical supplies and equipment were being offloaded. We also had the priviledge of the presence of The Rotary Foundation Technical Advisor to witness the event.
We would like to thank Chelstone Zonal Staff who are also arranging an official handover ceremony, District Health Office officials, Provincial Health Office staff, the Ministry of Health officials, Project CURE, our Partner Rotary Club of Lee's Summit in USA represented by Rtn Randy Weeda and their District 6040 whose sterling fundraising efforts by PDG Marc Horner made this arrival our first success. Lastly we thank the Rotary Club of Nkwazi and the Rotary Foundation for their cooperation and Guidance of the Global Grant Project Committee

We have attached some pictures from the offloading and now look forward to receiving the Kanyama Level 1 Hospital container which has now crossed into Zambia and awaits inspection by Zambian tax officials before departure for Lusaka. Many lessons have been learnt from these first two loads and we will strive to work together in ensuring faster delivery of the remaining 6 containers.
